Listen Up!!
The prophets of old used to call out to the people, “Hear Ye, Hear Ye the Word of the Lord” or something similar to that and they would listen and hear what God had to say for that day or season. I think many are still waiting for the booming voices of the prophets to declare what God is saying and are missing out on what God is saying to them in this hour. In John chapter 10 Jesus shares a parable and teaches that His sheep hear His voice and they will not listen to the voice of another shepherd. I learned recently that once a sheep hears the voice of its shepherd it will never hear and follow another. The people listening to Jesus that day would have known this and would have understood what He was implying.
Are you hearing God’s voice for you today or are you listening to the TV, to friends, or to other voices that surround you? God speaks to everyone, not just pastors and spiritual leaders. If you are His sheep then you can hear His voice and He is talking to you right now. Sometimes we have to silence all the other noises so we can clearly hear what the Father is saying.
